Planning a wedding in Cape Town and the surrounding Winelands is one of the most rewarding experiences a couple can have. It is also one of the most complex logistical exercises most people will ever undertake. Between supplier bookings, timelines, layout planning, family dynamics and the inevitable last-minute changes, the detail can become overwhelming quickly.
At The Event Edit, we offer four distinct wedding services designed to match different levels of need, involvement and budget. Some couples want someone to take over entirely. Others have planned most of it themselves and just need a professional to hold it all together on the day. Both are valid, and both are well served here.
Every wedding we work on is treated as its own brief. The packages below are starting points, not rigid templates. Once we understand what your day looks like, we can advise on the service that fits best.

Our Packages
Essential Wedding Coordination
For couples who have planned their own wedding and need a professional to bring everything together on the day.Not every couple wants or needs a planner involved from the beginning. Many arrive at the final few weeks with the suppliers booked, the vision clear and the details nearly finalised. What they need at that point is a calm, organised professional who can take everything they have built and execute it without a single dropped thread. That is exactly what the Essential Wedding Coordination package is designed to do. Samantha comes in two to four weeks before your wedding, reviews everything that is in place, builds the day-of timeline and run sheet, coordinates your suppliers and manages the entire day from setup through to the end of the reception. You spend your wedding day present in the moment. We spend it making sure everything around you runs exactly as planned.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
This package covers a final planning consultation two to four weeks before the wedding, a full review of confirmed suppliers and bookings, compilation of a supplier contact list, creation of the wedding day timeline, supplier arrival and setup schedule, ceremony and reception flow schedule, MC and DJ program guidance, distribution of the final run sheet to all suppliers, on-the-day coordination for up to ten hours, supplier check-in and delivery supervision, venue setup supervision, timeline management throughout the day and behind-the-scenes problem-solving.
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED
This package does not include full wedding planning, supplier sourcing or booking, décor sourcing or design direction. It is a coordination-only service for couples whose planning is substantially complete.
Signature Wedding Planning
For couples who want professional planning support, supplier guidance and a beautifully coordinated wedding experience.The Signature package is the choice for couples who want to be involved in their wedding planning, but do not want to manage it alone. You bring the ideas, the preferences and the decisions. We bring the structure, the supplier knowledge and the planning experience to make the process feel manageable rather than overwhelming. Over the course of three to four planning consultations, Samantha works alongside you to source and coordinate suppliers, develop the visual direction of your day, build the full logistics framework and prepare everything for a smooth, professionally managed execution.
It is a collaborative relationship, not a handover. You remain central to every decision while having a qualified, experienced planner guiding the process from first consultation to final dance.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
The Signature package covers an initial planning consultation followed by three to four further planning sessions throughout the process, budget guidance and allocation support, a full planning checklist and timeline, supplier recommendations and sourcing, assistance with supplier bookings and communication, a wedding concept and mood board, full styling direction for the ceremony, pre-drinks and reception, floor plan and layout planning, a venue walkthrough for planning and styling alignment, the full wedding day timeline, supplier schedules, a final run sheet, on-the-day coordination and execution.
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED
Supplier costs including venue hire, catering, décor hire, flowers, photography, entertainment and stationery are quoted and settled directly with suppliers. These are not included in the service fee.
The Event Edit Wedding Experience
A full-service wedding planning experience for couples who want complete guidance, design, coordination and execution from start to finish.Some couples want to enjoy the planning process, not manage it. The Event Edit Wedding Experience exists for exactly that. This is our most comprehensive offering, covering every element of your wedding from the first planning consultation through to the end of the evening, with Samantha and her team at every stage.
You will have unlimited planning communication within business hours, full supplier sourcing and management, a complete wedding design concept with mood boards and visual direction, guest experience planning, detailed logistics and scheduling, and full on-the-day coordination and execution. Nothing falls through the gap.
The result is a wedding that reflects exactly who you are, executed to a standard you would not have been able to achieve managing it alone, and experienced by you and your guests as effortlessly as if it all happened by itself. This is the package for couples who want peace of mind from the moment they book to the moment they leave the dance floor.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
End-to-end wedding planning support with unlimited communication, full planning checklist and timeline management, budget planning and management guidance, venue sourcing and coordination, full supplier sourcing and management, complete wedding design concept with mood boards, full color palette and visual direction, ceremony, pre-drinks and reception styling direction, guest table styling and layout planning, floor plan design and flow guidance, table mock-up planning and styling direction, stationery, signage and guest detail styling guidance, guest journey and flow planning, arrival experience guidance, welcome area and signage direction, guest gifting or favour experience guidance, personalised detail planning, full wedding day timeline and supplier schedules, a master run sheet distributed to all suppliers, and full on-the-day execution and coordination.
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED
Supplier costs including venue hire, catering, décor hire, flowers, photography, entertainment, stationery and accommodation are excluded from the service fee and settled directly with suppliers.
Wedding Flowers and Décor Styling
For couples who want professional creative direction for the look, feel, flowers and décor of their wedding, without committing to full planning.The visual experience of a wedding, the way the tables are laid, the quality of the floral arrangements, the flow of the spaces and the way the details come together, is what guests remember long after the day. Getting it right requires more than good taste. It requires someone who understands how suppliers work, how much things cost, and how to translate a mood board into a real space. The Wedding Flowers and Décor Styling service is designed for couples who have, or intend to have, their own coordination in place but need expert creative direction for the aesthetic of their day. Samantha works with you to develop a clear look and feel, source the right floral and décor suppliers, and ensure the setup team has everything they need to execute the vision correctly. It is styling with substance. Not just ideas on a board, but a workable brief that your suppliers can act on with confidence.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
An initial styling consultation, full wedding look-and-feel direction, mood board and color palette guidance, ceremony and reception styling direction, pre-drinks area styling direction, guest table styling guidance, floor plan and layout guidance, flower and décor supplier recommendations, décor hire guidance and sourcing support, floral design direction and brief preparation, stationery and signage styling guidance, lighting and ambience recommendations, budget guidance for décor and floral elements, coordination with flower and décor suppliers, guidance on setup requirements, styling notes for the setup team, and optional setup supervision on the day.
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED
This service does not include full wedding planning or day-of coordination. Flower and décor supplier costs are excluded from the service fee and settled directly with suppliers.
